1. As we all know, Eisenmann (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (referred as “Eisenmann” hereinafter) is a leading supplier in global coating technology industry. Could you please introduce specifically the developing condition, achieved scores and main trends of your coating business in recent years?
In the scope of traditional high quality customers, Eisenmann responds the customer demand actively and keeps developing new technologies with advantages in energy saving, efficiency, investment costs and reduction of operative costs that has won the long term support and regard from the customers. Eisenmann has won a lot of automotive coating projects in the recent years. In NEV territory, Eisenmann has been holding the first place in the high-end field, e.g. by having won the Tesla project,. With the massive investment by country and all social sectors in NEV field, Eisenmann is believed to continue providing powerful technical support and cooperation for new and old customers in this territory.
2. Facing the development background of recent automobile industry, what is the advantage of Eisenmann? Who are key accounts of Eisenmann?
The advantages of Eisenmann are mainly reflected in following aspects. Firstly, the technical advantage: Eisenmann develops and implements forward-looking technologies for the whole coating process.. Comparing with traditional technology, they can not only enhance the coating quality for the customer, but also reduce the operative costs; the other main advantage of Eisenmann is the global coordinating and quality management capacity that will reduce the management costs for the customer and therefore relieve their anxiety. Almost all main first-line brands are regarded as our key customers.
3. What do you think of local feature of Chinese automobile industry? Could you introduce the efforts that Eisenmann has put in product development and launch? How is the localization progress of Eisenmann at present?
After more than 30 years significant develop in Chinese automobile industry, requirements on equipment and construction quality have been improving continuously. However, due to all kinds of influencing and restricting factors, the difference between local automobile enterprises and foreign competitors of requirement on construction quality still exists. Due to prize pressure and the continuous increase of qualification of our own staff the localization degree of Eisenmann equipment has reached over 90%. The technologies and equipments that are developed by German headquarters can respond requirements from various foreign and local automobile customers in our country timely. Talking about the localized design and project management, we are not only able to undertake local projects, but also ready to support projects in other countries. So as to respond the demand of customers, we also keep optimizing our suppliers.
4. Please introduce the new products and core products, which are promoted emphatically by Eisenmann in recent years over automobile industry, as well as the situation of their application.
Besides relatively known technical equipments in our industry such as PT & ED rotating conveyor system E-Shuttle 200, E-Cube dry overspray separation system and E-MES plant management system, we are focusing on the promotion of the new skidless conveyor system VarioLoc, that revolutionizes the paint shop. Also the new Smart Oven concept, and VarioInspect, a new inspection workdeck system are products we are focusing on in the automotive business.Besides, those products are already in use by many international leading OEMs. At present, there are mature application cases of these technologies available overseas. We are also promoting our smart application solutions such as the VarioBell product family with external and direct charging and solutions for glueing and sealing. In terms of Industry 4.0 we also consider a total visibility into all manufacturing operations with a digital production control system like our E-MES system extremely important. And last but not least we are focusing on remote service solutions, which are gaining a lot of interest in the increasing market of brownfield facilities.
5. The concept of “green, environment, health” is always highly regarded in automobile industry. In that way, what’s the environmental protecting and energy saving concept that Eisenmann follows all the time during the product development? How to realize such concept in various Eisenmann equipment?
The principle of environment protection and energy saving which Eisenmann has been following ever since is not only for the reduction of exhaust air, waste water and residue, but also for the reduction of technical and maintenance requirement as well as operation costs for the users. For example, the with the modular skidless conveyor system Vario-Loc , there is no need for skids, reducing e.g. energy demand within the drying zone alone by up to 13 percent. And the Smart Oven concept leads to total energy savings of up to 37 percent per year. All of our technologies for the coating process can be connected and integrated to create an efficient end-to-end Industry 4.0 solution.
6. Lightweight is regarded as an inexorable trend of automobile development. Aiming at this trend, what effort and innovation has Eisenmann made? What kind of results does Eisenmann achieve? At the time that NEV is developing vigorously, what challenge and opportunity would await ahead of Eisenmann?
In industry of automobile lightweight, Eisenmann has following 3 prominent technical fields:
1-Oxidation furnace and carbide furnace: most of main carbon fiber manufacturers locally and overseas are customers of Eisenmann, who has been the most important supplier for this type of equipment globally. In spite of the process and cost problems that restricted the volume-production of carbon fiber components for automobile, carbon fiber can become the most suitable material for the automobile lightweight as soon as these restricting factors are overcome.
2-Heat treatment equipment for aluminum pieces: Eisenmann can provide various types of aluminum heat treatment equipment, mainly referred to the heat treatment furnace for aluminum structure pieces of automobile and aluminum alloy wheels, especially for the heat treatment fuanace for the aluminum alloy wheels, Eisenmann has provided products to main manufacturer for aluminum wheel in the world.
3-Production line for thermoforming steel: Eisenmann has newly developed relative equipment for the production line for thermoforming steel and is able to act as a general contractor for the whole production line of this type. At present the new-developed sample line has completed its commissioning and is ready for the demonstration to the customer.
7. For the environmental demand of customer in automobile industry, how does Eisenmann provide the total solution practically?
Aiming at the environmental demand in automobile industry, Eisenmann has complete solution. Besides the end treatment for exhaust air and waste water, it will also manage the control work from the source on. For example, through PT rotating conveyor system E-Shuttle, the quality of PT & ED will be improved while reducing the utilization of chemicals and discharge of waste water; through E-Cube dry overspray separation system of Eisenmann, treatment volume of waste residue decreases significantly because of that no water and any chemicals are required anymore during the overspray separation; through integrate exhaust treatment solution and RTO system of Eisenmann, the protection level of exhaust treatment on pipe end could even limit far more strictly than national and local environmental protection law and regulation; through smart oven of Eisenmann, by the enhancement of drying quality and efficiency, the power consumption and eventually the emission of CO2 can also be dramatically reduced.
